I’m a social media journalist working as the Community Manager and Social Media Strategist at Mashable.com. I am also an Adjunct Professor at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism where I teach “Social Media Skills for Journalists” and the founder of the Community Managers Meetup.

Most recently, I worked on social media at The New York Times. I have an M.S. in digital media from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism where I produced NYC 3.0, a news site and documentary covering tech startups. I’ve reported for news organizations like PBS NewsHour, Star Tribune, The Minnesota Daily (where I also served as editor), the Mpls./St. Paul Business Journal, Mashable.com, and Poynter Online’s E-Media Tidbits.
